DIY reverse french nails

I must say..I am MADLY in love with these nails. It really isn't that hard to do and looks so fabulous!
Here is how i did the look..
1. apply the nail polish you want to be closest to the cuticle, halfway down your nail (this doesn't have to be perfect as it is going to be covered by the next color)
2. Make sure you let this color dry COMPLETELY or it will smudge on the next step
3. Take either tape, dots, or page reinforcements and place them over the white on your cuticle of your nail
4. Paint your top color over and let it dry
5. When it is completely dry peel off the tape and VOILA!!! you have gorgeous french reverse nails

You can mix and match up your colors or even add rhinestones or other details to make it more edgy.

Do you know any other easy, edgy nail ideas?

For the love of packaging

Packaging is really important in cosmetics and can really give the product individuality. I do admit i have been lured in by the packaging , and it does play a huge role in the impression the product gives. Here are some great products which are packaged adorably.

1.Rock and Republic cosmetics: Although this brand has gone out of business, the packaging is very thought out,  and the actual products are also great. However, these might not be very convenient to carry around, since they are a bit heavy.

2. Milani Concealer: This concealer is an exact dupe for YSL's touche eclat. It works great, illuminating the under eyes perfectly. The packaging is very classy, all gold with a click pen type brush applicator.

3. Ellis Faas concealer: This is essentially the same concept as the Milani concealer, having a brush applicator which is perfect for under eye circles. The formulation is a bit thicker and provides a bit more coverage. The silver bullet pen packaging is  stunning , sleek, and completely unique.

4.Belvada Mascara: This mascara is truly amazing. It separates, curls and lengthens PERFECTLY. The formulation is spot on and does not dry out your lashes or irritate your skin. The coolest thing is that you push the wand up from the base of the tube, so it wont dry out for months. The concept of the push up brush is very innovative and the gunmetal packaging is very elegant.

5. MAC Liberty of London Lipstick: This lipstick in 'Ever Hip' is the perfect coral pink for many skin tones and all seasons. Even more than the color, i love the adorable packaging of it, having intricate and unique details which give it character.

6. Hard Candy Lipstick pencil: The concept for this is very cool, having the lipstick come in a jumbo pencil form. The texture is creamy and the application is smooth and pigmented. I absolutely loveee Hard Candy packaging...everything is so unique and personalized!

Here are some links to check these products out :)

10 minute hair and makeup

I take on average about 10 minutes to do my hair and makeup every morning. I strive to sleep in for as long as i can and this is how i do it...

MAKEUP-
Start with a good moisturizer (Lizearle is a great option)
Apply an under eye concealer (LOVE the revlon age defying concealer
Dust a thin layer of powder (Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder)
Add your favorite bronzer to add color to your face (Mac Bronzing powder in golden)
Add a white eyeliner to your waterline (prestige waterproof)
Add a thin layer of black liner and add a flick to lift your eyes (WetnWild gel liner <3)
Apply your favorite mascara (covergirl lashblast length)
Pick a nice pink lipstain and a light gloss to tone down the color (cg outlast lipstain in 415 teasing blush, Stila lipgloss in kitten)

HAIR-

Add a shine spray to your natural hair to keep it from looking dull (Got2b dazzling shine spray)
Add a thick texturized headband (HM lace headbands)
keep down or pull back into a chic bun or braid

What is your quick hair and makeup tips??
